PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pair of binoculars having a wide range of focusing, while equipped focusing function and a diopter difference adjustment mechanism. SOLUTION: The binoculars have first and second focusing lens systems 15 and 14, a focusing shaft 5 for focusing the first and second focusing lens systems 15 and 14 making the lens systems move in the optical axis direction and a diopter difference adjustment shaft 6 for making diopter difference adjustment, by moving the first focusing lens system 15 in the optical axis direction. The focusing shaft 5 is arranged, in parallel with the diopter difference adjustment shaft 6. In addition, the focusing shaft 5 is connected, so as not to hinder the rotation of the diopter difference adjustment shaft 6 and so as not to change the relative distance in the optical axial direction of the diopter difference adjustment shaft 6. The diopter difference adjustment shaft 6 is connected to the first focusing lens system 15, and the focusing shaft 5 is connected to the second focusing lens system 14 and the diopter difference adjustment shaft 6.
