PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat radiating characteristics and high frequency wave characteristics at the light-to-electricity transforming part of an optical receiver. SOLUTION: The heat generated at a preamplifier IC14 is diffused to a heat radiation plate 216, furnished on the opposite side through thermal via holes (through-holes) 214 furnished on a resin main base plate 17. As for an optical fiber 10, which has an optical fiber coating part 110 and in which the coating of the end part is removed, an optical fiber 11 and a ceramic carrier base plate 16 are stuck and fixed by an adhesive 13 for fixing optical fiber and stresses due to the deformation of the resin main base plate is relaxed at the removed part 11a of the optical fiber, with a support structure of optical fiber with, which the coated part of the optical fiber is stuck and fixed on the resin main base plate. Furthermore, an electrode formed on the backside of the ceramic career base plate is soldered on a land formed on the surface of the ceramic carrier base plate with LGA or BGA.
