PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial vehicle in which an auxiliary brake is applied separately from a wheel brake. SOLUTION: In this industrial vehicle provided with a transmission 3 inputted from the drive source 1 side, an output shaft 6 from the transmission 3 is interlocked with the wheel 23 side through a differential gear 8, and a wheel brake 11 is provided on the wheel 23 side. An auxiliary brake 25 is provided in a transmission path from the output shaft 6 of the transmission 3 to the wheel brake 11. The auxiliary brake 25 is applied separately from the wheel brake 11 to improve braking capacity to thereby stop the vehicle always with sufficient braking force. Even if a large cargo handling vehicle is continuously operated in a harsh manner, the wheel brake 11 is prevented from being overheated by the heat generation of a lining material.
