Process for increasing the tension crack resistance of polystyrene molding compositions by mixing with an elastomer based on styrene useful for the production of cooling unit mold parts

A process for increasing the tension crack resistance of polystyrene molding compositions by mixing with an elastomer based on styrene (S-TPE) is new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a polystyrene molding material containing (wt.%): smooth impact tough polystyrene (MIPS) of surface gloss more than 40%, as measured at a measurement angle of 60 degrees in accordance with DIN 67530,or a mixture of this with standard polystyrene (GPPS); (2) a laminated plate or film containing a substrate layer of amorphous polystyrene and a top layer consisting of the polystyrene molding composition; and (3) a process for preparation of cooling unit mold parts by means of a polystyrene molding composition using the above laminate or film.
