PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatically-mountable humidity sensor element. SOLUTION: A base plate 21, two comb-shaped patterns 22a, 22b formed on the base plate 21, and a polymer film on the comb-shaped patterns 22a, 22b are formed. This humidity sensor element 20 does not have a lead wire or a pin, and connection to a circuit on this circuit board is made through two connection parts 23. Since the humidity sensor element 20 does not have pins, a lead wire or the like drawn out from the base plate 21 to the outside, the element can be supplied to a surface mounting device ad a taping, and can be subjected to a reflow soldering process.
