PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixture in which separation between a powder coating material and an effect pigment is prevented and optical gloss is substantially kept. SOLUTION: This aqueous powder coating dispersion comprises water, 5-60 wt.% powder coating material and 0.2-10 wt.% effect pigment and further a surface coating auxiliary. The effect pigment is preferably a platelet-shaped effect pigment or a luster pigment. The aqueous powder coating dispersion additionally comprises one or more of a surface-active substance, thickener or flow-control agent. The present invention also relates to production of the aqueous powder coating dispersion and use thereof.
