PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supply apparatus for a gas for a foaming agent capable of always suppyling a predetermined constant amount of the gas independently of the state of the gas, a molding apparatus for a thermoplastic resin foamed item and a molding method for the thermoplastic resin foamed item by use of it. SOLUTION: The supply apparatus 12 of a gas for a foaming agent molding a thermoplastic resin foamed item by injecting the gas for the foaming agent into the molten thermoplastic resin in a screw cylinder 5 is provided with a flow meter 20 detecting a flow rate of the gas during injecting it, a transducer 21 converting the detected value by the flow meter 20 into an electrical signal, a CPU 23 accumulating the detected flow rate values based on the output from the transducer 21, a valve controller 24 giving a closing command signal based on output timing of the CPU 23 and a valve 14 closing a flowing-in path 8 into the screw cylinder 5 based on the signal order of the valve controller 24.
