PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition of a refractory suitable for brick, or refractories needed with heat resistance for manufacturing iron, steel, glass and cement or an installation, or a container for an incinerator which has none of carbon residue, moreover good operability, and a good mold releasing property and surface smoothness of a compact. SOLUTION: The refractory composition and its compact are composed of polyvinyl alcohol of 0.1-10 pts.wt., glycol based solvent such as polypropylene glycol of 0.2-5 pts.wt. and water of 0.5-10 pts.wt. to inorganic fireproof aggregate of 100 pts.wt. |
