PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge the incidence and projection directions of an optical isolator by a simple method. SOLUTION: The optical isolator comprising a flat plate type Faraday rotator, a polarizer, an analyzer, and a component holder which holds those optical elements, has reflection-preventive films formed on both the top and reverse surfaces of those optical elements and makes the reflection-preventive films on the incidence surface of the polarizer and the projection surface of the analyzer have mutually different color phases.
