<p>High-efficiency power control of a high-efficiency power amplifier by controlling the supply voltage using a combination of a switch-mode converter stage for gross power level control and a subsequent linear regulator stage for precise power envelope control. By combining control signals for power amplifier ramp-up transition, power level during a TDMA burst, and a ramp-down transition into a single control signal without feedback control, energy efficiency is maximised.</p> |
