PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe device with which each surface of a substance to be measured set in a box can be easily measured. SOLUTION: This is a probe device whose probe moving means is provided with an electromagnetic field detecting element 5 for detecting an electromagnetic field radiated from a surface to be measured. The probe measuring means is equipped with a freely-deformable scanning guide 21, a driving cable 19 which moves along the scanning guide 21 and is connected to the detecting element 5, and a quantity-of-movement detector 9 for detecting the quantity of movement of the driving cable 19, and it is characterized in that the detecting element 5 is oriented by the deformation of the scanning guide 21.
