PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate material made of a thermoplastic resin film alone by a polyester film to make the heat sensitive boring of an ink permeable opening in the film possible even when the output of a thermal head is not increased. SOLUTION: The plate material 12 for heat sensitive mimeographic printing having a prescribed thickness is made of a stretched PET film or a stretched low melting temperature film by the copolymerization of PET and PBT. Lots of minute recessed parts 14 are formed on one side of the film by embossing. The embossing can be done at a processing pressure of 10<4>×10<2> ( ( Pa or above [t is a processing temperature ( deg.C); m is the melting point of the film ( deg.C); g is the glass transition point of the film ( deg.C)].
