PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pergola which is provided in a roof of a balcony, has draft properties and can create a natural atmosphere, and from which a screen is hung as a sunshade. SOLUTION: The continuous roof 2 is provided on a main house 3 of a dwelling 99 and a detached room 4 thereof, and an opening 33 is provided in a position not only below the roof 2 but also above the balcony 5. The pergola 1 is formed in the opening 33, so that the screen 9, which is composed of a natural raw material, can be hung as a roofing material for the pergola 1. The screen 9 is constituted developably or contractibly in such a manner as to be easily removable from the pergola 1.
