PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein a monochrome image having sufficient expressive power can not be printed because a selection range of chroma is small. SOLUTION: A cyan color ink having low chroma, a magenta color ink having low chroma, a yellow color ink having high chroma, and a color ink like an India ink are used to perform color reproduction by reducing a color range capable of color reproduction and raising a gradation property in the color range. The color tone of the monochrome image to be printed can be precisely treated with respect to the color components of cyan and magenta and the color range capable of color reproduction is extended in the yellow direction. As a result, it is possible to perform the printing of a high quality monochrome image capable of obtaining the sufficient expressive power by attaining a selection range of the chroma.
