PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain transparent ice without removing water. SOLUTION: A blowing mechanism which supplies warm air at a prescribed blowing angle to ice making blocks is provided, and cool air is made to flow to the bottom of an ice making tray so as to freeze the water from the side of the lower part in the ice making blocks, while the warm air is controlled so that ice making is completed sequentially from one side to the other of the blocks. Since the device is constituted in this way, freeze starts from the water in the ice making blocks on one side, while the water containing mineral and gas components is left unfrozen and condensed gradually due to its resistance to the freeze, and moves to the blocks on the other side gradually through communicating paths, and the water in the other blocks is frozen lastly. Therefore, the ice in the ice making blocks on one side becomes almost transparent, while the ice in the blocks on the other side has a cloudy part, and thus the transparent ice and the ice having the cloudy part can be produced dividedly.
