PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a wire rod of an ultrathin sintered compact of a hard alloy, which has a bending amount of 0.1 mm or less per 100 mm of the sintered rod, by preventing bending which generates during sintering. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method is characterized by sintering an extrusion 1 having length of 200 mm or longer and a diameter after sintered of 1 mm or thinner, which is compacted by means of extruding a hard alloy powder including, by wt.%, 50% or more of a tungsten carbide powder, while suspending it in the center of a through hole 3, which is vertically penetrated in a graphite block 2 and has an internal diameter of 3-5 times as large as the diameter of the extruded compact.
