PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antistatic agent, an antistatic agent composition, and an antistatic resin composition which have excellent antistatic properties, prevent from whitening of a surface and from deteriorating a surface resistant value with time, and further are possible to decrease an addition amount of a cohesion inhibitor. SOLUTION: The antistatic agent comprises an aliphatic acid monoglyceride containing a monoester content of >=70 wt.% derived by deacetalization from a reaction product of acetalized glycerin with a fat and oil, 6-24C aliphatic acid or its ester. The method for producing the antistatic agent is also provided. The antistatic agent composition comprises the aliphatic acid monoglyceride, and an N,N-bishydroxyethyl 12-22C alkyl amine, a 12-22C aliphatic acid diethanol amide, or a polyglycerin 12-22C aliphatic acid ester having a condensation degree of 2-4. The antistatic resin composition comprises compounding the antistatic agent or the antistatic agent composition with a thermoplastic resin.
