PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antitumor active substance from a culture mixture of Agaricus blazei and provide a method of using the culture medium solution that remains after separation of mycelia of Agaricus blazei from the liquid culture mixture, which has been discarded conventionally, as an antitumor active substance. SOLUTION: The antitumor active substance mainly comprises the culture medium solution after the mycelia are removed from the liquid culture mixture of Agaricus blazei.
