PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve gripping feeling when the fishing operation is carried out by gripping an attaching part to which a spinning reel is attached. SOLUTION: This fishing rod having the reel-attaching part having both of a movable hood part F2 installed in the butt side, and a fixed hood part F1 installed in the tip side is constituted so that when the fishing is carried out by gripping the region of the reel-attaching part while arranging the reel- carrying face downward, a side face part ZK which is the region positioned at the tip side of the entrance opening K1 of the fixed hood part F1, and coming in contact with a finger, will be formed into a concave shape.
