PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crushing apparatus with which the size of the majority of the crushed pieces to be determined by a square formed on the surface of a lower roll can be made further smaller. SOLUTION: This crushing apparatus has a case having a hopper at the top end and a discharge port at the bottom end, a pair of upper rolls arranged in the case and the lower roll arranged on the lower side of the upper rolls and a knife projecting from the inside surface of the case to the lower roll side. Many circular grooves are arranged on the lower roll and a rotary disk cutter is put into each of the circular grooves on the lower side of the knife. The lower roll is provided with a polygonal pole-shaped fitting pedestal on which a cutting edge is mounted, and the circular groove can be formed between adjacent fitting pedestals which are arranged on the same circumference and on which a plurality of the cutting edge blocks are mounted.
