DEVICE FOR AUTOMATICALLY REGENERATING PM TRAP FOR DIESEL ENGINE BY USING INFRARED RAY

PURPOSE: A device for automatically regenerating a Particulate Material(PM) trap by using infrared ray is provided to simplify the structure of the regenerative device and to reduce cost by remotely radiating the infrared ray to the PM trap and automatically regenerating the PM trap. CONSTITUTION: A ceramic PM trap(10) is installed at an exhaust system, and collects particulate materials. A pressure sensor(11) is installed at the inlet of the PM trap, and senses the pressure of exhaust gas introduced into the PM trap. An ECU(30) controls an infrared supply unit(20) to remotely radiate the infrared ray to the PM trap and automatically regenerate the PM trap.
