PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide footwear with a bottom member which has air permeabil ity, lightness in weight, high toughness, a low cost, and sufficient cushioning and shock absorbing properties against loads from various directions. SOLUTION: In the footwear, the bottom member 1 is made up of an elastic body 5 which is formed inside with tube hollow portions 4, 4, etc. The elastic body 5 can be a visco-elastic body as well. Accordingly, the bottom member is excellent in compressive strength, shock absorption, as well as lightness in weight, and high toughness. The hollow tube portions can be varied in disposed angles, cross-sectional shapes and areas, and distances between the hollow tube portions, whereby the bottom member can provide the footgear which can sufficiently withstand the loads and shocks from various directions, thereby wearing for a long time.
