To start the spin-extraction phase, the water is first let off the tub (1) down to a minimum level (L2) and the rotating drum (2) is then accelerated. If the water in the tub (1) rises again up to a level (L3), it is again let off the tub and the instant rotational speed of the drum (2) is kept constant.
