PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method capable of selecting a functionally important sequence from a DNA library without limiting a specific function indicating various functions as an index. SOLUTION: A DNA retaining a function of target gene is efficiently selected from a DNA library consisting of a target gene having a modified base by using mutually excluding property (selection pressure) that a plasmid DNA having a same replicon (replication point) in a host cell and the like are mutually excluded. The selection method of the invention is superior to a conventional method in that the method can correspond to every kind of function and, in the case that the target is a protein or a RNA, selection is performed by the same method as the case of gene. |
