PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic stamping machine and a stamping method capable of improving the stamping depth. SOLUTION: The automatic stamping machine characterized by the feature that the automatic stamping machine is provided with a first three port solenoid operated valve 4 trimmed between a high pressure air source of supply 2 and a lead-out feed pocket 9 of an air cylinder 1, a second three port solenoid operated valve 5 trimmed between a low pressure air source of supply 3 and a lead-in feed pocket 10 of the air cylinder 1 and, when a rod 7 is drawn from the physical object, the first three port solenoid operated valve 4 is controlled so as to open the lead-out feed pocket 9 and at the same time, the second three port solenoid operated valve 5 is controlled so as to deliver the low pressure air fed from the low pressure air source of supply 3 to the lead-in feed pocket 10 and, when the rod 7 is extruded to the physical object, the first three port solenoid operated valve 4 is controlled so as to feed the high pressure air fed from the high pressure air source of supply 2 to the lead-out feed pocket 9 and at the same time, a solenoid valve controlling means 6 to control the second three port solenoid operated valve 5 so as to open the lead-in feed pocket 10.
