The sheet or panel has a layer of material with magnetic properties to ensure good adhesion with a vehicle body panel, and a second layer with vibration-damping properties, containing bitumen and an inert filler, one or more additives selected from elastomers, plastomers, resins and oils, or a plastic on its own or mixed with other components. The magnetic layer can contain ferrites that can be magnetised, or powdered permanent magnets, either on their own or mixed with other substances such as metal oxides. The magnetic and vibration damping layers can be joined together by rolling, by an adhesive between them, or by coextrusion. |
