FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out postisometric relaxation by bending one leg in knee joint in dorsal position. Then the patient thrusts with one hand against the knee and alternatively strains and relaxes the leg every 10 s during 2-3 min. The like actions are done with the other leg. If the postisometric relaxation leads to significant lowering of pelvic pains level on one or both sides, mono- or bilateral pelvic pains caused by iliolumbar muscle syndrome are to be diagnosed. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of diagnosis.
