<p>A peripheral pump (10) comprises a hollow body (11) with intake and delivery ports (12,13), which contains an impeller (14) coaxially connected to a shaft (15) of an associated motor assembly (16); the body co-operates, in forming a chamber in which the impeller rotates, with a supporting block (18) which is fixed to the motor assembly. The pump comprises at least one ring (20,21) made of stainless material which is arranged coaxially to the impeller and is fixed to the surface of the chamber that faces the impeller.
