MEDIA CONVERTER AND TRANSMISSION SYSTEM USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A media converter and a transmission system using the same are provided to easily detect faults in the link with the media converter and identify the location of the fault. CONSTITUTION: The first media converter(300) is loaded with a test manager. One side of the first media converter is connected with a management switch(20) through the first UTP cable(UTP1). The other side of the first media converter is connected with the second media converter(MC40) through an optic fiber cable(FO). The second media converter is connected with the second UTP cable(UTP2). The whole link is blocked by simultaneously activating the miss-link function at the first and second media converter.
