PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image quality for the display of a moving image by decreasing the amount of change in the voltage applied to a pixel electrode to suppress variations in gradation display. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display which has pixels and provides gradation display by applying gradation voltage according to gradation data to the pixels for every frame, the liquid crystal display comprising a look-up table(LUT) memory 32 to which gradation data for a frame to be displayed and gradation data for the previous frame are input and which converts the gradation data for a frame to be displayed to specific gradation data and outputs it, a source driver 12 for applying gradation voltage to the pixels based on the converted gradation data which is output from the LUT memory 32, and liquid crystal cells 22 which are contained in the pixels and are capable of gradation display according to the applied gradation voltage, wherein gradation data to be output which is specified by the gradation data for a frame to be displayed and the gradation data for the previous frame is previously stored as a look-up table in the LUT memory 32.
