PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the affect of floating magnetic field from magnetic films forming a recording film and broaden the component margin of each magnetic film in a magnetic wall-moving type magneto-optical storage medium which divides tracks by milling. SOLUTION: After a base layer 121 and the magnetic film forming the recording film 122 are laminated on a substrate 1, a magnetic layer on the slant part 15 of the side wall of a groove is removed by ion milling. Then, a prescribed magnetic film 124, an in-plane magnetized film, is laminated at room temperature, and further a protecting film 123 is formed. A radiating layer is formed on the protecting film, if necessary.
