PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the retrieving efficiency and the efficiency in using a space of a storage warehouse in an automated storage and retrieval warehouse using a circulation-type lift device. SOLUTION: A revolving shaft 46 of a lifter 44 in the circulation-type lift device 39 is extended in parallel with the longitudinal direction of shelves. A load W placed on the lifter 44 is sent onto a carrying conveyor 48 through a delivery conveyor 47. As end conveyors 37, 38, the lifter 44 and the carrying conveyor 48 are linearly arranged, the load W is discharged at a high speed. In the storage warehouse, as a lowermost shelf can be located at a height same as the carrying conveyor 48 and the delivery conveyor 47, the space of the storage warehouse can be effectively utilized.
