The bridge (B1) includes two bridges sections (B11,B12) among which one section (B11) has two parallel- connected arms (B11,B12) containing semiconductor switches (S21-S24) and another section (B12) has a single arm with switches (S25,S26). The switches (S21-S24) in the parallel- connected arms are controlled through pulse width modulation (PWM) to form a PWM controlled bridge section. An Independent claim is also included for control unit.
