PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor, in which processing requested from an operable host is not delayed due to reporting to an inactive host when at least one host is made inactive, in the information processor, to which a peripheral processor and a plurality of hosts are connected through a communication switch device. SOLUTION: While a peripheral device 10 is not in the state of communication with the hosts 30-33, the hosts 30-33 are successively selected by a host state monitor circuit 11, the transmission of data for state monitor is directed to a transmitting/receiving control circuit 12, the result of communication between the transmitting/receiving control circuit 12 and the hosts 30-33 is received and recorded on a host state managing table 15 and when giving a notice to each of hosts 30-33, the hosts 30-33 in the inactive state are not accessed.
