[Also in Group XVII] The cover 15 of a thermoplastic container 12 is secured by a weakened thermoplastic adhesive 14 providing a bond which may readily be broken by pulling and will not admit of the cover being replaced by finger pressure. The adhesive is weakened by the addition of fillers such as mica, chalk, asbestos, bentonite, kaolin and may be polystyrene, polyvinyl acetate, polyethylene or of those comprising polyacrylic esters. Various proportions of filler to adhesive e.g. 0.2, 0.5 and 1 part of filler to 1 part adhesive by weight, are given. |
