PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new fluorescent nucleotide which is useful for labeling a nucleic acid. SOLUTION: The fluorescent nucleotide represented by formula X-Y-Z [wherein, X is the residue of a natural or unnatural nucleotide or the like and combines with Y at the base part of the residue; Y is a bivalent linkage group or single bond; and Z is a monovalent group induced from a compound represented by formula (I) (wherein, R<1> to R<4> are each an alkyl group; V<1> to V<6> are each hydrogen atom or a substituent; L<1> to L<7> are each a methine group; W is oxygen atom, sulfur atom, -C(R<3> )(R<4> )- or -N(R<5> ) (wherein, R<3> to R<5> are each an alkyl group); Q is nitrogen atom or -C(V<7> )- (wherein, V<7> is hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent); M is pair ion; m is a number necessary for neutralizing the electric charge of the molecule; s, t, and u are each 0 or 1) or the like, a reactive group existing in R<1> or R<2> , and combines with Y]. |
