SOLUTION: The electronic mail system, which sends and receives e-mails via a network that connects a plurality of different communication networks one to the other, has a communication network specification part 15, which specifies the communication network used by a receiver based on the receiver's mail address to be transmitted e-mail, an owner mail address DB 18, which stores a plurality of owner mail addresses corresponding to each of a plurality of communication networks.
