The construction material has imprint in the form of a linear measurement scale (6-9) on at least one of its surfaces in the region of its edges (2-5) and parallel to at least one edge and preferably all the edges. The linear scales start at zero on diagonally opposite corner points (10,11) of the surfaces. The surfaces may be covered by a grid. An angular measurement scale (14) is provided in the center section of a surface or in diagonally opposite corners points. An Independent claim is included for procedure for the transfer of specified measurements onto the construction material with an imprint.
