An electromagnet is disclosed, the yoke of which comprises lamellae. The lamellar packet formed from lamellae comprises yoke endplates, connected to each other by means of two yoke sideplates. The yoke endplates are connected by means of cut-outs therein and corresponding windows in mounting plates.
