PURPOSE: A headrest for a vehicle having a cervical vertebra-protective function is provided to protect the cervical vertebra of a passenger by improving a headrest supporting the passenger's head. CONSTITUTION: In a headrest for a vehicle having a cervical vertebra-protective function, the headrest(30) comprises a main frame(36), having a coupling bar(35) protruded downward to be coupled to the upper end portion of a seatback, and a head cushion(40) and a pair of chin cushions(41). The head cushion supports and protects the head part of a passenger. The chin cushions protect the cervical vertebra part and chin part of the passenger. The main frame is includes an arc lateral bar(37) installed to the inner side of the upper portion of the coupling bar, and an arc head bar(38) protruded in the middle part of the lateral bar, to fix the head cushion. A head frame and a chin frame are installed inside the head cushion and the chin cushion. Cushion materials for absorbing shock are coated outside the head frame and the chin frame. The head cushion is connected with the head bar of the main frame by using a coupler protruded in the rear of the cushion materials. In the chin cushion, a coupling ring is inserted into a coupler and is coupled by a fixing nut.
