PURPOSE: An imaging apparatus is provided to reduce power consumption by independently supplying power to each of a signal processing circuit and an output circuit. CONSTITUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises a solid-state imaging device including a matrix of light receiving pixels generating information charges in accordance with an imaging subject and accumulate the information charges; a booster circuit(5) supplied with a power supply voltage to boost the power supply voltage and generate a boosted voltage; a first regulation circuit(22) supplied with the power supply voltage to generate a first regulated voltage in accordance with an output level of the solid-state imaging device; a second regulation circuit(23) supplied with the power supply voltage to generate a second regulated voltage in accordance with an input level of the external device; a drive circuit connected to the booster circuit and supplied with the boosted voltage; a signal processing circuit(9) connected to the solid-state imaging device and the first regulation circuit, for operating with the first regulated voltage; and an output circuit(14) connected to the second regulation circuit and the signal processing circuit, for operating with the second regulated voltage. The output circuit receives the second image signal from the signal processing circuit and provides the second image signal to the external device. The drive circuit drives the solid-state imaging device to transfer the information charges accumulated in each light-receiving pixel and to generate the first image signal. The signal processing circuit performs the predetermined signal process on the first image signal and generates the second image signal.
