<p>PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method for fabricating the same are provided to form color filters on a lower array substrate and a black matrix on thin film transistors of the array substrate, thereby improving the aperture rate and completely blocking the photoelectric current of the thin film transistors. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate(111), gate and data lines intersecting each other on the first substrate for defining pixel areas, thin film transistors(T1) connected to the gate and data lines, pixel electrodes(121) formed on the pixel areas and connected to the thin film transistors, color filters(112a,112b) formed at lower parts of the pixel electrodes and corresponding to the pixel electrodes one to one, a black matrix(120) formed on the thin film transistors and formed of an opaque conductive material, a second substrate(131) disposed on the first substrate with a predetermined distance, common electrodes formed at a lower part of the second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer implanted between the first and second substrates.</p> |
