ELECTRONIC DICTIONARY CAPABLE OF RECOGNIZING VOICE ACCORDING TO CHARACTER AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An electronic dictionary capable of recognizing voice according to a character and method thereof are provided to display a spoken character successively and output the displayed character through a speaker by speaking a character string of a specific word successively. CONSTITUTION: A voice recognizing unit(50) recognizes a voice being spoken by a user successively. A conversion unit(60) extracts a word combined by converting the voice of the user successively recognized from the voice recognizing unit(50) into a character from a word database(70). The word database(70) supplies information of a word being requested from the conversion unit(60). A display unit(80) displays the information of the word extracted through the conversion unit(60). A speaker(90) outputs a voice synthesis signal of the word extracted through the conversion unit(60).
