ELECTROSTATIC POWDER PAINTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic powder painting method capable of effectively performing painting over an entire surface ranging from flat areas to recesses of an object to be painted. SOLUTION: First, a powder particle 5 positively charged by triboelectrification is injected to the object to be painted 1 provided with a recess 2 and a flat area 3 from a triboelectrification gun to perform electrostatic painting over the surface of the object 1. Next, a negatively charged ion 8 emitted toward the object 1 from an ion shower nozzle 6 is attached to the particle 5 painted on the surface of the object 1 to convert the electrification polarity of the particle 5 from positive charge to negative charge. Further, a powder particle negatively charged by corona discharge is injected to the object 1 from a corona discharge gun, thereby electrostatic painting is performed by allowing the negatively charged powder particles to be superimposed on clearances between the particles 5 already painted on the surface of the object 1 and onto the particles 5 already painted thereon.
