PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image signal with high quality, which is obtained by a solid-state image pickup element having color filters arranged in a mosaic. SOLUTION: An image signal obtained by a solid-state imaging device in which three primary colors of RGB are arranged by Bayer arrangement is separated into R, G and B by a color separating circuit 4. The color signals are respectively attenuated by filters 6, 8 and 10 at 1/2 of a horizontal sampling frequency to suppress moire. The filter circuit 8 for G narrows band to be attenuated compared with the filter 6 for R and the filter 10 for B. The respective filtered color signals are subjected to level adjustment in a white balance circuit 12, and are added and combined in a combining circuit 14 to generate a luminance signal. Since the attenuation band of the G signal is narrowed, resolution can be maintained high while suppressing moire.
