PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade unit which can be applied to a different type of machine, and an image forming device having the blade unit. SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with a drum or belt type moving body driven to be rotated, a blade member abutting on the surface of the moving body and acting on the moving body, and a blade holding mechanism holding the blade member. In the device, the blade holding mechanism is provided with a natural frequency varying means for varying the natural frequency of the blade holding mechanism.
