PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generation system capable of making a pseudo LESS judgment by using the GREATER judgment of a Z test or vice versa, a program and an information storage medium. SOLUTION: A pseudo LESS judgment processing part 140 performs Z buffer inversion processing of performing the processing of inverting the Z value of a Z buffer, processing of inverting the Z value of the vertex of an object after perspective transformation, and plotting processing using the prescribed judgment method of the Z test by using the Z buffer to which the Z buffer inversion processing is applied for a given object for which the Z value of the vertex is inverted. It is possible to consider the Z buffer as a color information buffer and plot a polygon for the Z buffer inversion processing to the Z buffer by a translucent operation. It is also possible to return the inverted Z value of the Z buffer to a value before inversion.
