PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a domain partitioning system provide with a domain partioning control improved in conventional defect and to provide its method. SOLUTION: The domain partitioning system for a multi-node computer system is disclosed. A domain configuration unit includes a plurality of domain configuration registers regulating the partitioning state of the computer system. No domain has writing access privilege to the domain configuration registers. A server manager separate from the computer system is combined with a domain configuration unit and adapted to write the partitioning state of the domain configuration unit.
