摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a single board type imaging apparatus that the high frequency component of a luminance signal is degraded in generating the luminance signal from RGB signals after nonlinear processing. SOLUTION: A prescribed line delay is applied to pixel data outputted from an imaging apparatus 10 by a delay circuit 11. In a YH (high frequency component) generating means 12, a luminance signal Y1 and a high frequency component YH are generated from an output of the circuit 11, are subjected toγ(gamma) processing in a YHγmeans 13, and are outputted as an YHγ. An RGB generating means 16 generates a luminance signal Y2 and R, G and B from an output of the circuit 11. A YM generating means 15 subtracts the signal Y2 from the signal Y1 to generate a mid-band frequency component YM of the luminance signal. Address 16-18 add the YM to each R, G and B respectively. An RGBγmeans 19 appliesγprocessing to each R, G and B to output Rγ, Gγand Bγ. A matrix means 110 generates a luminance signal YL and a color difference signal C from Rγ, Gγand Bγ. The signal YL is added to YHγin an adder 111 to be outputted as a luminance signal Y.
