PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for lending a printer for allowing a user to easily use the printer and provided a service related with the printer until it becomes unnecessay to use the printer any more. SOLUTION: This printer selling method and system provides a method for lending a printer 4 on which consumables (5) are preliminarily mounted. The printer device 4 is lent in response to a request from a user 3, and the using state of the printer device 4 is managed as information data, and a service is provided to the printer device 4 according to the managed data and a preliminarily decided reference value.
